Leonardo Helicopters is a global leader in the production of military and commercial rotorcraft. Its helicopters cover all the main weight categories — from the 1.8 ton single-engine to the 16 ton three-engine — and are dual commercial and military use except for a few military-specific platforms (NH90, Super Lynx 300, AW159 and AW101). In 2019, Leonardo delivered the 1,000th AW139 — its most popular model for both civil and military applications.
Employing 12,330 team members and with divisional headquarters located in Cascina Costa, Italy, Leonardo Helicopters’ vertically integrated manufacturing across 11 sites supports final assembly lines in Vergiate, Italy; Yeovil, United Kingdom; Swidnik, Poland; and Philadelphia, United States.
