Cost-effective, full spectrum training, without compromise. That’s what military helicopter training demands and it is what the TH-119 advanced helicopter trainer delivers. The TH-119 seamlessly transitions helicopter pilots from training flights to combat missions. The U.S. Navy announced on January 13 2020 that Leonardo was awarded a contract for up to 130 TH-73A helicopters in support of the Advanced Helicopter Training System (AHTS) program.

AIN's Richard Ward pilots the TH-119 and says: "If the U.S. Navy decides to go with the TH-119, I have no doubt this machine and its Genesys EFIS system is going to provide a great teaching platform for instructors currently flying the 50-year-old TH-57. And the pilots it produces will be ready for the transition to the most advanced combat aircraft the 21st century has to offer."
